The Referral Process Families are usually referred to CRRS through their caseworker with the In-Home Support Program. However, any family caring for a family member with special needs can refer themselves directly by simply contacting us and requesting services. The Family Visit Typically a visit is scheduled at the family's home so we can discuss the services CRRS offers and how they may be of use to the family. A respite care plan is developed with the family to identify how they want to meet their respite needs. The Respite Information Family Handbook We have developed a Family Handbook that reviews some basic information about respite, how our services operate and how families might manage their respite arrangements. We also discuss the financial aspects of "purchasing" services from an independent respite care provider.
